In Papua New Guinea small hats covered with cassowary feathers and used as a base for a headress. The cassowary is a large flightless bird found in Papua New Guinea. Cassowary feathers were used in bride price in parts of PNG and as decoration in most parts of PNG. This hat contains many feathers. These hats are quite rare.
